March for Housing Justice! Fight Back Against Landlord Power!

  • 1 Bowling Green New York, NY 10004 (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The real estate industry is the most powerful industry in New York State. They spend more money electing Albany politicians than any other industry.

The results are immoral. Rents are going up and up. Landlords are getting richer and richer. More and more people are facing homelessness.

On November 15, we are marching on the corrupt landlords who have bought off our politicians. We are telling our elected officials: It’s time to chose.

Do you stand with tenants, or do you stand with real estate?

Jacobin x Verso Panel Discussion on US Labor + the Struggle for Socialism

Come take part in a discussion between Barry Eidlin, Ella Mahony (YOUR comrade from CBK!!!), and everyone else in attendance (you).

We can't win socialism without the power of millions of organized workers. How do we get there from here? Why is US labor so weak, and how can we make it strong? How can we bring socialism closer by linking organizing in workplaces with broader struggles for justice?

The discussion will be followed by a party to celebrate Barry Eidlin's first book, "Labor and the Class Idea in the United States and Canada." Discounted copies of the book and plenty of beer and wine will be available for purchase.
